How to read the Base DEX analytics dashboard

The Base network overview page provides a comprehensive snapshot of DEX activity across the entire blockchain. The dashboard aggregates data from all tracked DEX protocols, showing network-wide volume, trading activity, top tokens, pairs, liquidity pools and traders. Most metrics reflect 24-hour activity, while price charts display 7-day historical trends. Use this page to understand the overall health and activity level of the Base DEX ecosystem, identify trending assets and protocols, and compare performance across different market segments.

• Network statistics. The header section displays aggregate 7-day metrics: total USD volume across all DEX protocols, total number of trades, active traders (unique buyers + sellers) and number of tracked DEX markets. These metrics give you a high-level view of Base's DEX ecosystem activity and help you gauge overall market health and participation.
• DEX market share. The heatmap visualizes market share by DEX protocol, where tile size reflects 24h USD volume and helps you quickly identify which protocols like Uniswap, PancakeSwap, Uniswap dominate trading activity on Base. • Hot pairs. The pairs table shows the most active trading pairs by 24h USD volume, displaying current prices, short-term price changes (10m/1h/24h), 7-day price sparkline charts, trading volume, trades count and unique traders. This helps you spot which pairs like WETH / USDC, cbBTC / WETH, cbBTC / USDC are attracting the most liquidity and short-term volatility on Base. Each pair is clickable for detailed analytics.
• Top liquidity pools. The pools table ranks liquidity venues by USD balance (Solana) or trading volume (EVM networks), showing short-term liquidity changes, protocol affiliation, trading activity and pool addresses. This helps you identify where the deepest onchain liquidity sits on Base and which pools offer the best trading conditions. Each pool is clickable for detailed analytics.
• Top traders. The traders table ranks the most active wallets by 24h USD trading volume, showing total trades, buy/sell breakdown, unique tokens traded and DEX protocols used. This helps you identify whales, market makers and key market participants driving significant volume on Base. Each trader is clickable for detailed analytics.
• Bitquery APIs. Each section includes "Get API" buttons that open the exact Bitquery GraphQL queries powering these views. You can integrate them into your own network monitoring systems, analytics dashboards or trading tools, and customize fields, filters and time ranges to build custom views of Base DEX activity.
